About this data
Daily closing levels of the four headline London equity indices: the FTSE 100 of the largest listed companies, the FTSE 250 of mid-caps, the FTSE 350 that combines them, and the FTSE AIM All-Share covering the growth market. The FTSE 100 earns most of its revenue abroad, so it tends to rise when sterling falls — the FTSE 250 is the closer read on the domestic UK economy.
