Monthly from April 2016, when Japan's retail electricity market was fully liberalised. Former regional utilities (みなし小売電気事業者) are the retail arms of the ten incumbent power companies; new entrants (新電力) are all other registered retailers. Extra-high and high voltage are industrial and commercial customers; low voltage is households (lighting) and small businesses (power).
